It’s Purely Olivia’s 1st Blogoversary!

I am so excited to be celebrating Purely Olivia’s first blogoversary! It seems like much more than twelve months since I first started my blog, but that’s all it’s been. To honor the occasion this post is going to be chock-full of:

• My first year with Purely Olivia! I’ll share some stats, most popular posts, and reflect on how this past year has gone.
• And of course, my plans for the future! This is the first blog birthday of many more. 😉 There’s a lot more on the road ahead.
• A gigantic thank you to YOU! Without you, I’d have stopped blogging long ago. You get a well-deserved thank you.
• A poll (or two). It’s only right that my first blog birthday should feature my first poll (or more?!). And I want you to take it!

I don’t know about you, but I am psyched for this post. Let’s get started! 😀

How This First Year Of Blogging Went, As Far As Stats, Posts, + Growth

Considering that I have a very small blog, I am really happy with the way this first year went. I’m going to share a few stats with y’all, but please keep in mind that I’m in no way trying to brag or anything like that (and I have a super small blog!), I just want to look back and see the growth I’ve had since my first year. 🙂

Number Of:

• Posts: 50 (including this one)
• Comments: 135
• Likes: 155
• All-Time Views: 1,836 (approximately as of 8/14)
• Mosquito Bites I Have Right Now: 26 (this is not an exaggeration)

Interesting Stats:

I’ve had visitors from 21 countries! The leaders being the United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Italy, and Canada. (Shoutout to that one person from Kenya- thanks for reading!) It’s so cool to imagine people all over the world reading my blog. If that’s you, well, THANK YOU! 😀 Just realized that’s everyone.

Apparently people don’t search for my blog through search engines. The only search term I’ve gotten is “olivia purely.”😂

How I’m Hoping To Grow in Year 2

My hope is that my blog just keeps on growing. I’d love to connect with more people and have even more conversations about books! 😉 My {slightly ambitious} growth goal for my second year of Purely Olivia is: to increase my stats by at least 1/3!

 

A Quick Explanation of What’s Coming Up…

As you read this, I’m typing up future posts. (Okay, probably not. But maybe.)

I’d like to continue doing what I’ve been doing: bring weekly posts about reading, writing, and sometimes randomness. I want to respond to all your comments, comment on your blog, and have fun while doing it. I feel like I’m capable to continuing to do these things- and I hope I can! 🙂

Of course, there is much room for improvement. I want to focus more on discussion posts as well as incorporating more reviews, and more interesting posts.

 

The Truth Is, YOU Are the Reason For the New Content & Continuing Blogging

It is just the truth, plain and simple. If I didn’t have any stats at all, of course I wouldn’t blog. There would be nothing to blog for.

I want to give a very special shoutout to my 39 followers! (38 WordPress, 1 by email.) You have absolutely no idea the joy that I receive by seeing I have gained a follower. 😊 Thank you so very, very much, from the bottom of my heart.

Also, a thank you to any reader, commenter, and liker- follower or not. You’ve all made my day at some point or another and I’m very thankful for you!

As far as my goals for future followers…I want to have reached 85 by my next blog birthday. Can we do it?

Let’s Break Some Records. And Take Some Polls!

Here a few more stats, special ones, that I didn’t mention earlier.

• The most comments I’ve ever gotten on a post was 21.
• The most likes was 9 (I think)!
