The Liebster Award!! (The Second Time Around)

Hello wonderful readers!

Good morning or afternoon or night, or whatever it is as you read this. 😉 Recently I was tagged for the Liebster Award twice (once by Ivy and Em, and once by Cynthia). I wanted to participate in both of these, so today I will be combining them!liebsterBasically, I’ll just be answering the questions asked by each Emily and Cynthia, but just listing the amount of facts and nominating the amount of people that I would if I was only tagged once. I am very confusing, ignore me.

I have done this tag once before, but I love how versatile it is in that you can do it multiple times and it changes each time you do it! So, let’s get into the post. 🙂

The Questions (From Both!)

What is your favorite meal?

I love a lot of food, but one of my favorites is just pizza. Especially a pizza I had at an authentic Italian restaurant when I was visiting Boston….feast your eyes on it.

What is your favorite quote?

October is my favorite month, and Anne of Green Gables is my favorite book. So naturally, I love this quote from it:

“I’m so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” -Anne (L.M. Montgomery)

What’s the last good book that you read?

Definitely The Help, by Kathryn Stockett. It was amazingly eye-opening, and I’d recommend it to anyone.

If you could only write/draw in one color for the rest of your life, what would you choose?

I think blue. I just love the color blue, and I feel like it’s a color I’ll always enjoy, no matter how my tastes change. That quickly got deep.

If you could describe yourself in one word, what would you choose?

Vibrant.

What’s one good thing that happened to you today?

I went to my school’s production of Beauty and the Beast, and it was phenomenal! I love watching plays, especially when the people in them are incredibly talented, like they were in the play I saw.

Why did you start your blog?

In a nutshell, I just wanted to share my thoughts. Honestly, I didn’t know anything about blogging or the blogging world or any other bloggers when I started. I just began because I love to write and wanted my voice to be heard.

My first blog versus my blog now! It’s amazing the growth that’s occurred.

Do you keep a journal, and why?

Yes! I started in early 2017, because I realized that while I can remember major life events, I couldn’t even recall a specific day of my life from the year before. I wanted to start documenting those mundane days so I could remember them later. 🙂

How do you stay motivated?

I motivate myself by setting goals. Whether that be major goals for the year or a simple to-do list for the day, I make sure to have something I’m working towards at all times.

If you could do anything with your life, what would you do?

I want to have some kind of successful job, though I don’t know what yet. Something that I deeply care about and am passionate for! I’d also want to have a family, and be able to write in my spare time.

Do you like to bake- if so, what?

I do like to bake, but I don’t do it much. The most recent thing I baked was Christmas candy (fudge, brownie balls, and cookies).

What is your favorite song/album?

No. I cannot choose. It’s actually impossible.

What is the last book you read?

The Art of Feeling, by Laura Tims.

What is something that annoys you?

It annoys me when teachers don’t erase that tiny little mark of dry erase marker on the board. I can’t focus anymore, and instead I am just staring at that little mark and trying to make it disappear with the power of my eyes. XD

What’s your favorite flower?

Tulips! They’re so pretty.

What’s your favorite blog to read?

I can’t choose! Not only would I feel unfair choosing just one, there are just so many wonderful blogs out there. 😉

What’s your favorite drink? Hot or cold?

My favorite hot drink is hot chocolate, and my favorite cold drink is lemonade.

What’s your favorite season?

Hands down fall.

I mean, how beautiful is that?? How could you not love and adore fall?? Andddd, fall also includes my birthday and Halloween and pumpkins.

What is/was your favorite school subject?

My favorite school subject right now is biology, because my teacher is AMAZING and I have a lot of friends in that class. In the past it’s been English, but English has become more of just essays and required reading, so not anymore. rip

If you had to rewind your life 10 years or fast forward 10 years, which would you choose?

Wow, this is a really good question. I’d have to say rewind my life 10 years. This question was difficult because I don’t really want to do either.

I don’t want to go back, because the past is over and I wouldn’t necessarily want to go back and redo my life. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. 😉

But on the other hand, I feel as if fast forwarding at this point in my life would definitely mean losing out on some of the best years of my life! I don’t want to lose those years, so I guess I would go back.

Do you consider yourself an organized person?

Why yes, I do. XD Seriously, though, I am an extremely organized person. Let’s just say that I clean out things for fun, and leave it at that.

What’s a valuable life lesson you have learned?

One super valuable lesson that I’ve learned and also written about is that sometimes your plan for how your life is going to go completely falls apart. And guess what? It’s okay, because God’s plan is always intact. And His plan is so much better than you ever could have imagined!

  3. Owls are so cute! 😍 There seems to be an owl craze going around (or has been for the past 3 years) on baby things, like pillows and blankets. (Maybe because they’re so cute? 😜)

  4. My answer to the do you have a journal question could be exactly the same as yours. 😛 Same time and same reason! And I used to collect business cards but I haven’t been doing that as much recently. Thanks for nominating me! I rarely do tags, but I still do appreciate the nomination. 😀

    • Ahh, it really is! I can’t believe I hadn’t read The Help until last month. Oh, and glad to hear I’m not the only one who still reads MG. Some of my all-time favorites are in it, too. 🙂
I can’t remember what the name of the restaurant was, sorry! It was in the North End of Boston, though, if that’s helpful.

      • Ooh, what are some of our middlegrade favorites? Mine are Fish in A Tree, Tuesdays at the Caste, The Hero’s Guide to Saving Your Kingdom, and Counting By Sevens.
No, that’s okay! Don’t worry about it. North End of Boston, got it. Any other recommendations for Boston?

        • Oh, I absolutely love Fish in a Tree, Counting by 7s, and Tuesdays at the Castle (and the rest of the series too!)! I also love the Land of Stories series and the Mother-Daughter Book Club series. Honestly, no matter how old I get, I will always, always love MG. 🙂

I only went to Boston once, but I just enjoyed walking around the city and we also went on a Duck Tour of the city, which was super fun.

          • AHH, Fish in a Tree is my third favorite book of all time! I’ve cried every time I’ve read it. I haven’t finish the series, but I didn’t like the other books as much as Tuesdays at the Castle. Yes, those are good too!
Okay, thank you for the recommendation! I’m planning on going to Boston in the future.

  6. OMG YES WITH LEGGINGS & SWEATSHIRTS/T-SHIRTS!! I am 95% sure that is a dancer thing, because literally so many of ky dancer friends seem to wear that. I mean, it’s fashionable (usually) & comfy, why not? 😂

PIZZA IS SO GOOD OOH. 😍 I haven’t had some in a long time haha. And omg yes Hamilton!!! I’m so happy you got into it — I’m actually getting more and more obsessed with it (I listened to the whole thing four times today 😂).

Oh, and how did you like The Art of Feeling? I’ve heard good things about it. Great post! 💕

    Liked by 1 person

    • Haha! I really do think it’s a dancer thing, too.😂We spend most of our lives in leotards, tights, leggings, and sweatshirts honestly.

YES, YES IT IS. Pizza and Hamilton are both amazing. I’m sooo obsessed with Hamilton, and EVERYthing reminds me of it right now. Like, I’ll finally get a Hamilton song out of my head, and then someone will say the word “rewind” in conversation and suddenly I’m singing Satisfied. Or, the other day in Spanish, we learned the verb for “to say goodbye” and I was singing One Last Time.

I enjoyed it! I don’t know if I’d reread it/buy it for myself, but it was definitely worth the read. I loooved the characters. Thank you so much for reading and commenting, May! 🙂

  7. Oh I loved the Art of Feeling so so much!! And also I really admire your answers to these, and most of them were quite tough questions too.😂 They’re making you work haha. (Also your blog looks gorgeous!) And pizza is amazing, but now I really want to try legit Italian pizza ahhh. Also that 10 years forward or past is really hard but I’d have chosen backwards too.😂 I have too much stuff to do I can’t lose ten years lmao.

I loved reading this and getting to know you!

    • I did enjoy the Art of Feeling! I think I heard of it from your blog actually, haha. YES to legit Italian pizza (it’s so good??) and going backwards in time, not forwards. Like, I don’t want to lose ten years of my life!😂

THANK YOU so, so much! 💞
