The Hogwarts Tag // ft. Much Love for Harry Potter

In case you didn’t know, I am obsessed with Harry Potter.

The books? I’ve read them so many times I’ve lost count. The movies? I can practically quote them. But a Harry Potter tag? I have yet to do one.

Although I wasn’t technically tagged for this, I’ve seen it floating around (specifically on Lily’s lovely blog), and I just had to participate. Because guys, it’s a Hogwarts tag. 😉 Maybe after I do this I’ll finally get my acceptance letter?

At this point in the post, all the Muggles have left and all the Potterheads remain. If you’re a Muggle still here, I beg you to read Harry Potter, you won’t regret it. And without further ado, let’s unlock this post. Alohamora! Somebody please stop me, I’m having too much fun.

Are you a pureblood or a half-blood?

I’m a half-blood! My dad loves Harry Potter and got me into reading them, while my mom doesn’t like them (or at least, she hasn’t given them a proper chance).

That makes me a half-blood- one parent with magical blood, one without.

Which wand chose me?

According to Pottermore, which is the best Harry Potter website, by the way…

“Cherry wood with a unicorn hair core, 10 3/4 inches, and quite bendy flexibility.”

Did you take a cat, owl, or toad with you?

If you didn’t know, I am obsessed with owls. I mean, if you could see how many owls are in my room… *stares at all the owls surrounding me*

Is it any surprise that I would want to take an owl? Besides, I love Hedwig.

Where did the sorting hat put you?

I am a proud Hufflepuff!

I always wanted to be a Gryffindor, since that’s what Harry-Hermione-Ron were, but after being placed in Hufflepuff, I think it’s where I’m supposed to be. Hufflepuffs are trustsworthy, loyal, and kind- things that I hope I am.

What lessons are your favorite and least favorite?

My favorite is Transfiguration, because I love having Professor McGonagall as a teacher, of course. And I love transfiguring pieces of wood into books for even more reading material!

My least favorite is Potions, because I can’t get the hang of it and I always end up ruining it. I also don’t like History of Magic- not because I’m not interested in the history of magic, but because the professor is so boring.

What is your Patronus?

Also according to Pottermore, my patronus is a St. Bernard dog. I was not expecting that, but that’s all right. XD

What does your boggart look like?

I’d have to say my boggart looks like a giant spider. Not necessarily like the spider from Harry Potter, just like any creepy spider.

I’m terrified of spiders.

Do you partake in any magical hobbies or sports?

I’m a big Quidditch fan, but I’m not athletic enough to make the team, so I usually just attend all the games and cheer loudly for Hufflepuffs (or, if Hufflepuffs aren’t playing, Gryffindors or Ravenclaws).

Oh, and I love participating in wizarding chess tournaments. 😉

Where would you spend your spare time?

The library, of course! (Though not in the Restricted Section.) I spend time there studying, reading, and practicing magic on stacks of books.

I also spend a lot of my time in Hogsmeade with my friends, going to Honeydukes and the Three Broomsticks (for butterbeer only).

What would you most likely get detention for?

*gasps in horror* Hopefully I wouldn’t get detention! If I did, it would probably be for skipping Potions class and going to the library instead.

What career would you want after graduating Hogwarts?

This is such a hard question! I think I’d either work in some branch of the Ministry (nothing major, maybe Muggle relations) or become a stay-at-home-witch, like Molly Weasley.
