As bookworms, we all face many struggles.

It’s not all hardcover books and ships sailing and five star reviews, that’s for sure. All bookworms have their fair share of struggles, and today Rose and I are going to be bringing ten of those to light. 😉

This post is a collab with the lovely Rose from A Purpose of Winged Dogs! She posts about books, writing, and more and is always up for a Taylor Swift reference. We’re definitely kindred spirits. Definitely check out her amazing blog and read her half of the post here! I’ll be talking about five of the struggles here, and she’s talking about the other five over on her blog.

I’m so happy to be collabing with Rose, and really excited to talk about some bookworm struggles with you all. Without further ado, let’s get started!

Library Haul // ft. contemporaries galore (!!)

It’s no secret that I love the library.

One of the best things about summer is that I’m able to go to the library more often. And when I do go, I actually end up reading the books I got, and it makes me very happy!

A ton of the books I got are contemporaries that have been on my TBR for ages, so I’m really excited to see if y’all have read them and what your thoughts were.

Oh, and I’m planning to do a mini review post of all the books I mention in today’s haul in the upcoming weeks, so if you’re interested in knowing my thoughts, that’s coming. 😉 As is a mini reviews post for my last library haul.

Here’s an overview of all the books! This haul contains many gorgeous covers (as expected with contemporaries XD) and honestly the spines are gorgeous too?? Who knew the spines of books could be so aesthetically pleasing. Now, let’s get into the explanation of each book I got!

Why I Still Love Dystopians + A Dystopian Review (!!)

Confession time. I still love dystopian books.

I made that sound so dramatic, but for some reason I feel like dystopian books are so underrated these days. These days meaning in 2018. I mean, I can’t think of a dystopian book that I’ve heard people talking about that was published recently. And that makes me sad, because the thing is, I love dystopian.

Today I’m going to be sharing reasons I’m still obsessed with dystopian novels (even though the glory days of The Hunger Games are mostly over *tear*) and also be doing a very exciting review of a dystopian short story I was given the opportunity to read recently. I’m excited, so let’s jump right in!Read More »
