September Recap // I’m Back From Hiatus, Giveaway Winner, & It’s My Fave Month!

It’s finally my favorite month of the year.

After the rainy, stressful month that was September, October has never felt so amazing. It’s officially time for everything pumpkin spice, fall weather, my birthday, and a lot of other exciting things too. 😉

I’m so excited to be back from my small hiatus (I’ve been gone since mid-September) and I’m looking forward to talking about the books I read, the winner of my giveaway from all the way back in August, and just generally screaming about everything going on this October.

Without further ado, let’s get into the post!

Why I’ve Actually Started Liking Writing In Books?! // Mini Hiatus + Annoucements

I’ve always been one of those people who really doesn’t like writing in books.

I mean, my books are precious children to me, and I just never understood why anyone would want to put marks on their beautiful white pages. But…recently, I’ve had a change of heart about this subject, so I thought I’d talk about it today. 😉

Also, if you noticed the title of this post, I’ll also be giving a few small announcements and be talking about the short hiatus I’m taking at the end of this post! Patience, grasshoppers. But first we’re going to talk about books, because books are amazing. XD

Without further ado, let’s get into the post.

As I said, I used to be one of those people that treat their books as humans.

Of course, I’m still against completely hurting books- how could I ever condone that? – but I’ve gotten more relaxed over the years. Nowadays, dog ears are acceptable (I actually dog ear quite a bit when I don’t have a bookmark handy), I think cracked spines are the sign of a well-loved book, and I’ve found that I love writing in them.

Today I’ll be sharing a few of the main reasons I’ve decided I like writing in books, as well as sharing a few examples of when writing in books was especially fun.

The Lady Janies Book Tag // Most Anticipated Release, Favorite Characters, + More

I think we’re long overdue for a book tag.

I love a good book tag almost as much as I love a good contemporary, and today I’m so happy to be participating in The Lady Janies Book Tag. I’ve recently realized just how many amazing characters there are named Jane, and that made me especially excited to do this tag. 😉

I was tagged for this by Malanie and Elizabeth (they’re both amazing and I love them and their blogs dearly), so thank you to both of you for the tag! This tag was created in honor of The Lady Janies series and My Plain Jane‘s release, and while I haven’t read this series yet, I definitely want to now.

Let’s get right into it!

August Recap // A Whirlwind of Books, Dance, & Back to School + Goals for September

Thank goodness August is finally over.

After the amazing, wonderful months of June and July that were filled with reading and blogging and no school and just general happiness, August was like jumping off a cliff into an ocean of reality.

All dramatics aside, it was an okay month…I somehow managed to read a decent amount of books and I didn’t drown under loads of homework, so there is a bright side. 😉

I’m so excited to talk about my month (as far as books, blogging, and life went) and then set some goals for September, too. Which will definitely be a better month than August…I hope. Let’s get started!
