5 Hufflepuff Book Recommendations // ft. a collab bringing you all the hogwarts house feels!!

Us Potterheads are very obsessed with our Hogwarts Houses.

From my first time reading the series, when I thought I was definitely a Gryffindor just like Harry, to a few years ago when I decided I was a Ravenclaw, to taking the Pottermore test and realizing Hufflepuff is where my heart is, I’ve always loved having House pride and hearing what houses other readers were.

Nowadays that the stereotype of the Houses only being good, bad, smart, and kind have (I think? I hope?) been mostly abolished, it’s even more fun to do everything House-oriented. Buy merch! Put it in your bio! Create an aesthetic for your House! Shout it from the rooftops! And, most importantly, give book recommendations based on your House. 😉

Today I’m going to be sharing five book recommendations based on the Hufflepuff House (#puffpride) and I’m so excited to be posting this alongside three other bloggers I love and admire, Charis, Kelly, and Xandra. Kudos to Charis for putting this all together and finding Slytherin, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff (that’s me) bloggers to share recommendations for their House!

I will be linking all the other posts at the end of this post so you can also go read a list of recommendations for each of the other Houses! I really hope you go read them and see all the incredible recommendations each blogger has brought to the table.

Before I get started, I just wanted to give a quick disclaimer that this is not the first time I’ve seen this post done! I think House-based recommendations are a fairly common topic, so if you’ve done this and I use some of the same books as you, that is definitely purely accidental and rest assured I don’t have a good enough memory to copy anyone’s post, like, ever. Some books are just so Hufflepuff-esque that I’m sure they show up on rec lists all the time.

The Levels Of Being Obsessed With Harry Potter // from impartial to in love, how obsessed are you??

So, I’m obsessed with Harry Potter.

I’ve definitely lost track of how many times I’ve said this. Somewhere in the range of, I don’t know, a billion? It’s pretty much a guarantee that you’re going to find Harry Potter gifs, references, and fangirling on my blog. All of this obsessing got me thinking- how do you measure one’s obsession with Harry Potter?

Obviously, there’s not a spectrum out there that can tell you exactly how obsessed with something you are, and as far as I know, there isn’t a Harry Potter-specific one. So, me being me, I have no choice but to create this spectrum myself!

The spark of inspiration for this post came to me one night when I was about to fall asleep. I was so scared I would forget all about it that I got up from my semi-asleep state and wrote it down right away. That shows you how dedicated I am to Harry Potter. In today’s post, I’m going to list the levels (1-10) of being obsessed with Harry Potter. They start off mellow and Muggle-esque and then proceed to more obsessive waters.

This is all in good fun, and the purpose of this post isn’t to call anyone out, besides myself of course, because we all know I’m level 100 obsessed and it’s getting out of hand! So without further ado, let’s see how obsessed you are with Harry Potter.⚡️

5 Reasons You Should Read Harry Potter // Aka…Me Trying to Convince You All to Be Potterheads?!

I believe in a lot of things.

I believe in the innate goodness of people, love, gravity, God, the fact that my heart can be torn apart by a book… But one other (very important) thing I believe in is that everyone should give Harry Potter a chance.⚡️

In case you didn’t know about my immense (and sometimes slightly terrifying) love for Harry Potter…well, I have an immense and sometimes slightly terrifying love for Harry Potter. And I like to talk about it on my blog, a lot.

In today’s post I’m going to list a few reasons that will hopefully convince you to read Harry Potter if you haven’t yet, or to reread it if you have already read it! I’m very excited for this, because screaming about Harry Potter is one of my specialties.

Why My Favorite Character in Harry Potter is Harry Potter // ft. Screaming, Ships, & Many Gifs

I love talking about Harry Potter.

Whether I’m screaming about the plot, the characters, my ships, the movies, or the fact that I really want to get my Hogwarts acceptance letter, it’s pretty much a guarantee that I’m always talking about it in one way or another.

In typical Olivia fashion, I’ll be doing that yet again on this post. 😉 Today I’m going to be talking about a character who I think is slightly underappreciated despite being the protagonist of the entire series- Harry Potter himself.

I know, I know. On the surface level, it seems like Harry does get a lot of appreciation, but when I really started to think about it, I realized that I’ve never really heard anyone say he was their favorite character. More popular answers are Hermione, Ron, and even Snape or Draco.

This makes me sad, because Harry Potter is one of my most favorite characters of all time. He is my small, sassy, lovable child and I will protect him with my life. So, I have put together a list of reasons that Harry Potter is my favorite character in Harry Potter. Disclaimer: There will not be explicit spoilers in this post, but there will be references to occurrences throughout the series. Without further rambling we all know I could ramble forever, let’s get into the post!

My One Major Problem With Harry Potter + Other Thoughts // ft. Opinions on Snape, Harry’s Flaw, & More

So. It’s no secret that I’m obsessed with Harry Potter.

And if you didn’t know that yet- hi, I’m Olivia and my letter to Hogwarts got lost in the mail. I usually can’t go more than a few blog posts without mentioning Harry Potter one or two or twenty times. I’ve read the books and seen the movies more times than I can count, and my Harry Potter Pinterest board has 305 pins on it.

In short, I’m obsessed.

Recently, I decided it was time for another Harry Potter reread. I went through the books, and while I still absolutely love them and the magic hasn’t left at all, I noticed some of my opinions have changed about the book as I got older.

Today I’m going to be talking about a few random thoughts I had, as well as my one major problem with Harry Potter (that I hadn’t really noticed until this reread). Let’s get started! 🙂

The Hogwarts Tag // ft. Much Love for Harry Potter

In case you didn’t know, I am obsessed with Harry Potter.

The books? I’ve read them so many times I’ve lost count. The movies? I can practically quote them. But a Harry Potter tag? I have yet to do one.

Although I wasn’t technically tagged for this, I’ve seen it floating around (specifically on Lily’s lovely blog), and I just had to participate. Because guys, it’s a Hogwarts tag. 😉 Maybe after I do this I’ll finally get my acceptance letter?
