July Recap // ft. lots of traveling, riverdale, & I made a cake for harry potter!!

July happened way too fast.

I know this is such a typical thing to say, but I genuinely can’t believe (and don’t want to believe) that it’s August. The month when school starts. The month when dance starts. The month that seemed really, really far away until I woke up and realized it’s here.

If you couldn’t tell, I have mixed feelings about August. On one hand, I do like fall and I’m eager to get back to dancing, but part of me isn’t ready to trade the freedom I had in summer for homework and studying. But this post isn’t about me wishing summer could start over again, it’s about recapping my July!

July was a quintessential summer month. I did a lot of reading and blogging, went on a short trip, spent a lot of time with my family and friends, and overall enjoyed not having to adhere to a specific schedule!

It was slow and fast and lovely all at the same time, so without further ado, let’s get to the post. 😉

June Recap // ft. my new fave books, a drastic haircut, & my current playlist!!

June was slow and a whirlwind all at the same time.

You know when you look back at a month’s accomplishments and it simultaneously feels like it’s been that month for ages, but also feels like time is slipping by you too fast? No, is this just me having an existential crisis?

Whether or not I’m the only one who feels that way- that’s how June felt to me! I read a lot of books and blogged a lot and ate way too many snowcones. Essentially, it was an incredibly *summer* month and yes, I have officially begun rambling and we’re only 99 words into this post.

Blog Title - Design #1 (33)

All of that to say, in this post I’m going to be recapping the month of June. I feel like a lot happened (but also nothing at all?) and I’m looking forward to properly squealing about what I read and what I did and all the normal things I usually talk about on here.

So, without further ado, cue the post!

May Recap // End of School, New Blog Schedule, & Ask Me Questions for My Q&A!!

Another month has passed us by.

I have to say, I’m not sad to see May go. It wasn’t a terrible month by any account, but it did have its fair share of stress, what with dance recitals and AP exams and end of the year projects…but now it’s summer, and I’m feeling so excited for relaxation!

Besides, May did have some high moments, like my recitals (yes, they were stressful but amazing) and hitting 500 followers on Purely Olivia! Hi yes, I’m utterly crying over this and will do more of this later on in this post. So, all in all, I’m glad it’s over but not sorry it happened. I make no sense.

Blog Title - Design #1 (24)

In this post, I’ll be talking about everything that happened this month (what I read, what I didn’t blogged, how life went) and then there will be an extra special google form (!!) where you can ask me any questions!! As I’ll explain later in this post, I’m doing a Q&A, and I would love for you to ask me anything.

Now, before I keep rambling on and just further confuse us all- let’s get into the recap!

A Very Late April Recap // Too Much School, But Also Reading, Dancing & The Office!!

Hello again, dear blogosphere.

It’s been quite a while since I posted, or was able to interact with everyone here, and I just want to give everyone a giant virtual hug. Insert imaginary giant hug here.

Even though we’re already nearing the end of May what how help I still wanted to take a moment and talk about some notable moments of April because 1) recap posts are so much fun to write, 2) I already had some of this post done before I took a short hiatus, and 3) I feel like I just need to catch up with everyone?? It’s been a minute.

Blog Title - Design #1 (22)

Like I said, I genuinely can’t believe it’s already almost June. The past few months have had their slow moments, but for the most part, have absolutely flown by. I feel like I’ve just been standing in the same spot, shell-shocked at how fast the year has passed me, since about February.

All right, without further ado, let’s get into the recap. 😉

March Recap // I Read Six of Crows, Spring Break, & My Current Playlist!!

All of a sudden it’s April.

Somehow we’ve made it through another month of the year! 2018 still feels like yesterday (yes, I will not stop saying this in every monthly recap), but we’ve already gone through a fourth of the year.

So, even though I can hardly believe it’s April, it’s April!! That means it’s time to take a look back at March and see what happened as far as books, blogging, and life in general.

This post contains a lot of parentheses (if you haven’t noticed, I love them), beautiful book covers, and instances of me obsessing over books I read and the music I listened to in typical Olivia fashion. Continue at your own risk?? But please continue.

Without further ado, into the post!

February Recap // I’m Back For Real This Time + I Need Your Help!!

I’m not quite sure what happened to February.

I feel as if it was just mid-January and I was still writing 2018 on all my papers, but here we are in the third month of the year. I blinked, and February was over.

It was a rainy, cold month filled with a lot of school, dancing, reading, and hardly any blogging. However, I’m very excited to be back with the new month, and hopefully this time I’m here to stay. 😉

Blog Title - Design #1 (14)

Despite the fact that my last post was also a monthly recap (yes, I’m very disappointed in myself about this), in this post I’m going to be wrapping up February by talking about what I read, did, and blogged.

Without further ado, on to the post!

A Late January Recap // Harry Potter Reread (Again?!), Dancing, & Hamilton

So January happened.

And now it’s almost two weeks into February, but shhh, this recap is definitely on time. It somehow already feels as if it’s been 2019 for ten years?!

Usually January is a mediocre month, but this month was actually filled with a few wonderful things, like a Harry Potter reread (!!!), spending time with friends, and a whole lot of dancing.

Well, without further ado, let’s begin. 😉

Recap of 2018 + Goals for 2019 // HELLO NEW YEAR!

2019 is here.

It’s been a year full of growth, reading, dancing, blogging, and a heck of a lot of happiness. While 2018 was good to me, I can’t say that I’m not looking forward to starting a fresh new year, with new goals and new memories.

Blog Title - Design #1 (8)

Just like every other blogger, today I’m going to be doing a recap of my year, a look back at the highlights and at all the goals I set, and then setting a few goals for the next year as well. I hope I’ll be able to look back at this post in years to come and see how much I’ve grown!

Without further ado, let the games begin. 😉

The 10 Best Books I Read in 2018 (!!)

2018 was the best reading year I’ve had in a very long time.

I discovered so many books that have become some of my all-time favorites, and I also constantly read new books instead of only rereading (who am I?). What with 2018 drawing to a close, I thought it was the perfect time to talk about the 10 best books I read this year.

Blog Title - Design #1 (7)

Before I get started, I wanted to wish you all a very happy holiday season. If you celebrate Christmas, I hope you had a lovely holiday with your family and friends, and if you don’t, then I hope you’re having an amazing week or celebration of another holiday!

Now, on to the list. I didn’t include rereads in this, and even with those taken out, it was incredibly hard to narrow down the top 10 books I read- especially once I got down to the last few. I’ve already talked about most of these on my blog before, so I’ll be providing insight on why I enjoyed them, rather than a full review.

Without more of my rambling, let’s get started!

I’m Back!! (I Think) // A Very Late, But Existent November Recap…

Well, hello again, blog.

It’s been a long time since I posted- three weeks, to be exact. Lately, leaving for weeks on end without announcing it seems to be my trend. Life just got the best of me, and the constant business of school, homework, and dance leaves me with hardly any time left for anything, much less blogging. I let myself get swallowed by life these past few weeks, but I’m making it a goal right now to try harder to stay afloat!

Even though we’re already halfway through December (where did time go?! wasn’t I just a smol little Olivia worried that the world would end when it became 2010), I’m going to be doing a little November recap today!

Blog Title - Design #1 (6)

Shh, no matter that November ended weeks ago. It’s never too late to scream about the books I read, what happened blogging-wise (the WordPress update, anyone?!) and what was going on in my life.

Let’s get started!
