Reinvented//Episode 1: Ways I Find Inspiration

Hello everyone! I hope you’re all having a great day- and can you believe it’s already been April for over a week?! This year has been going by so quickly.

Welcome to the first episode of Purely Olivia’s newest series: Reinvented. I’ve been piecing this together in my mind for a while now, so I’m really looking forward to finally doing it. Reinvented is going to be when I randomly find a post from my old blog and then reinvent it create a new post! For example, if the old post talks about a library trip I took, the new post could be reasons I love libraries. Make sense?

For today’s post, I’m taking this old post about inspiration and changing it up to talk about how I find inspiration! You can feel free to read the post from my old blog, but I assure you that it’s horrific and I got embarrassed just skimming it.

Without further, ado let’s get started!

Observing Others

Whether it’s by reading a blog post, watching a video, or looking at a magazine, I can always find inspiration. Seeing others do something inspires me to do the same.

For example, when I see posts with a bunch of cool photographs, I get inspired to take pictures. When I see that my friend has Bible journaled, I get inspired to Bible journal!

Refer to the Familiar

What is “the familiar” in your life? I instantly think of books that I’ve read dozens of times and journals that are filled with words. Maybe for you it’s the strings of a viola, the recipe for chocolate-chip cookies, or your favorite basketball. Returning to my “roots,” so to speak, helps me feel rejuvenated to focus on the future.

Read the Bible

Hearing the word of Christ always triggers something inside of me. It makes me feel renewed and prepared for anything.

Organizing

Personally, I love organizing. I enjoy making things look neat and tidy (as you can tell by looking at my room). I can’t focus and I feel foggy when things are messy, so when I clean things, I organize my thoughts, too. When I’m done and I’m sitting in my clean room, I feel inspired to do anything!

Look Up Stuff

Let’s be honest. Google is a good friend. 😉

I don’t have Pinterest, but I know if I did, I’d be scrolling through it every time I needed to feel inspired. If you are able to have Pinterest, then I recommend that as a source of inspiration!

Otherwise, just Google something, like “ways to find inspiration” or “how to be inspired” or “inspiring things.”

I Sit

Sometimes searching for inspiration just doesn’t work. Sometimes you just have to sit and wait for it to come to you.

Flip Through An Old Photo Album

Even if you don’t end up finding inspiration, this is just so fun to do.♥ I just love looking at photos of me with my sister when we were little or old photos of me with friends.

I hope these ways may help inspire you! 🙂 It’s harder than I thought to think of these…I apologize there aren’t that many.

Quick announcement! I am so, so, so happy to have reached 13 followers! That may sound like a small amount, but for me it is really awesome and makes me happier than you can imagine. To thank those 13 bloggers, I am going to list them below (in order of when they followed me). Each name will be a link to their blog (one has been deleted, which is why it isn’t linked), many of which I enjoy reading myself.

THANK YOU to all my followers! Give yourself a round of applause. It means a lot to me that you all are interested in reading my posts each week! 😀

How do you find inspiration? See you in the comments, or at next Sunday’s post.

-Olivia♥
