The Evermore Book Tag // Taylor Swift Made My 2020 (Again)

It’s been almost three weeks now, but I still can’t wrap my brain around the release of evermore.

I haven’t fully recovered from the surprise release of folklore months ago, and now we have evermore too? Not only do I feel as if we’re undeserving of this incredible music, I’m surprised my heart survived listening to 15 new Taylor Swift songs. I’m completely in love with the new album and will be talking about how much I adore every song for the next decade or so- meaning, when I got tagged for the evermore book tag, participating in it was absolutely mandatory.

It warmed my heart so much to be tagged by Rhi, Aria, and Lauren for this tag, because I’ve loved talking about Taylor with all of them and it especially meant a lot that they still thought of me even though I haven’t posted on my blog in upwards of four months. Thank you so much you wonderful humans- please go read their posts and visit their lovely blogs. <33

The Folklore Book Tag // In Which I Love Taylor Swift and Reading Way Too Much

Taylor Swift released a new album, and in conclusion, I am not okay.

I don’t exactly have the words to explain my happiness when I found out about the surprise release of Folklore, but I won’t lie, there were tears. Taylor Swift has been my favorite artist since her debut album released and I spent hours laying on the floor next to my CD player memorizing every song, and while I’ve loved everything she’s put out, this album has a special piece of my heart.

I could go on and on, but the lyrics (her best ever), storytelling, and genre (indie folk/soft pop/alternative?!) could not be more perfect. It’s genuinely my favorite album yet and!! I haven’t stopped listening to it or screaming about it since it released. So you can imagine my excitement when Ilsa created The Folklore Book Tag, and now I can talk about the album here while also talking about books!!

A major thank you to both Ilsa and Rhi for tagging me- I’ve loved talking about this album with both of them so far, so this was especially happy.🤍 I’m very much looking forward to talking about the songs, sharing my favorite lyrics at the end of each song, and tying them back to books using Ilsa’s prompts!! (Also, I will be using the graphics she created, so a thank you to her for that too.)

The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag 2020 // In Which I Freak Out Over New Releases & Soft Characters

It’s that time of the year again.

I know it, you know it, the WordPress Reader definitely knows it- it’s time for everyone to freak out about everything we’ve read in 2020! Although I’m unfortunately still behind on my Goodreads challenge (will I ever catch up?), I’ve read a lot of books worthy of all the love and appreciation so far this year, and I’m so excited to scream about them in this post.

Beige Grey White Square Modern Furniture Design Blog Title (7)

I’ve participated in this tag the past two years (my 2018 and 2019 posts), so even though I’m cutting it close by posting this on the second to last day of June, tradition must continue. Besides, it wouldn’t really be June if I didn’t spend at least a little bit of time having an existential crisis over what I have and haven’t read so far, right?

Thank you so much to Sophie and Abi for tagging me in this! I definitely recommend that you read both of their posts (Sophie’s here, and Abi’s here) and check out the rest of their blogs too, because they’re both phenomenal people and bloggers. I really appreciate them tagging me and I’m very excited to get to answering these questions!

The Percy Jackson/Heroes of Olympus Book Tag // Middle Grade Recs, Unexpected Gems, & Fangirling!!

2020 was singlehandedly saved by Rick Riordan announcing the Percy Jackson TV show adaptation.

I know how dramatic that sounds, but I’m really not exaggerating that much…this is probably the best piece of news I’ve heard in recent months!! After a childhood spent loving Percy Jackson and the Olympians and then later waiting for the releases of each new Heroes of Olympus novels eagerly, and then being disappointed by the movies that did come out, this new has been a long time coming.

I honestly can’t believe there’s going to be a TV show about Percy Jackson with all the details and different seasons for each book?? This is a reader’s dream.🥺 Along with the rest of the Percy Jackson fanbase, I’ve been properly freaking out over this news, so naturally I was very excited that May created a book tag about PJO/HoO, because now I have the chance to scream about it on my blog!

A huge thank you to May (the creator), Lily, and Rhi for tagging me to take part in this- I adore all three of them both as humans and as bloggers, so if you haven’t already checked out their content before, I can assure you that you most definitely want to. I’m very appreciative of their tagging me, and I really just am so excited to participate!

The Good Reading Habits Tag!! // In Which I Talk Bookshelf Organization, Libraries, & Backlist Books

It may surprise you to hear this, but I’m not really the rebellious type.

Well, at least if you don’t know me very well, that could be surprising. If you do know me, then it probably makes sense that I’ve always been more of a goody-two-shoes type. But when it comes to books and reading, I do have a few habits that are frowned upon by the general reading population. I always feel *slightly* called out when those are brought up, so I was very excited to learn that there is a such thing as the Good Reading Habits Tag!

Blog Title - Design #1 (57)

I was tagged for this by the lovely Erin of Kitty Jade Blog (read her post here), and I can’t thank her enough for the tag. This topic interests me so much, and I’m really looking forward to exposing myself in a positive way in this post. Plus, this is my first tag of the new decade, and it looks like a fun one to start things off with!

The only rules are to pingback to the creator’s post, list some of your good reading habits, and nominate some of your blogging friends to also participate in the fun. I’ll be nominating some people at the end- for now, let’s get into the habits!

I Should Read That Book Tag // ft. seven books I desperately want & need to read!!

As a blogger, I feel like I spend most of my time saying “I should read that book.”

Every time I read a book review or book recommendations post, I leave a comment talking about how much I want to read whatever books were talked about in the post and my TBR gets larger and larger.

Even though I’m stuck in a perpetual state of “too many books, too little time,” I wouldn’t have it any other way. Hearing about new books and deciding I want to read them is one of my favorite parts about blogging! It’s enhanced my reading experiences so much. All that to say, though, it makes for a hefty TBR.

When the lovely and kind Elizabeth from Red Gal Musings (please go check out her amazing blog if you haven’t already! it’s one of my favorites) tagged me for the I Should Read That Book Tag, I was so excited because this gives me a chance to talk about a lot of the books on my TBR. I just really love rambling about books.

Maybe doing this post will inspire me to clean out my TBR a little? It’s scary. I definitely hope it reminds me of some of the great books out there that I still haven’t gotten around to!

Without further ado, onto the tag.

The Summer Bucket List Book Tag // ft. 10 books that are perfect for summer (!!)

What could be better than books and bucket lists?

As I’ve established in my summer bucket list post from a couple weeks ago, I adore bucket lists. And obviously, due to the entirety of my blog’s content, I also adore books. That makes this tag, The Summer Bucket List Book Tag, the most perfect tag for me to do! 😉

Blog Title - Design #1 (31)

First of all, this tag was created by Tiffany from Read By Tiffany. If you’ve never heard of Tiffany and her blog, please stop reading this post and go visit her lovely corner of the internet! I am begging you to leave my post, so you know it’s good. She’s so kind, sweet, never fails to use the best emojis, and her blog (which she recently redesigned) is the best pink, Hufflepuff aesthetic in the universe.

I’m beyond excited that she created an original tag that not only lets me exclaim how wonderful her blog is (!!) but also allows for me to talk about and recommend a whole lot of books to you all.

Let’s get into the post!✨

The Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag 2019 // ft. me screaming about lovable + emotional books

The amount of amazing books I’ve read this year is freaking me out.

This tag couldn’t have come at a better time, because I genuinely think I’ve read more good books this year than I have in the past years combined. I just keep reading more and more books that are truly wonderful, and I have the book blogging community to thank for that. You’ve all buried me in my TBR, but I’m happy about it. 😉

Blog Title - Design #1 (28)

I was tagged for the Mid-Year Book Freak Out Tag by Chana and Malka from Paper Procrastinators! They’re both so sweet and their blog is beyond lovely, so you should go stalk them and read their tag post. Thank you so much for the tag!

I can already tell it’s going to be hard for me to narrow down my decisions for most of these questions, so please bear with me as I try to decide which books broke my heart the most. They all did okay?? The writing of this post is definitely going to require frequent consulting of Goodreads…

Without further ado, let’s get into the post!

The Pancake Book Tag // ft. Thoughts on Book Slumps, Simon Spier, & More

It is a truth universally acknowledged that pancakes are amazing.

Even if they aren’t your favorite breakfast food (I have to admit, waffles offer some true competition), there’s something amazing about a tall, warm stack of pancakes. Especially if they have chocolate chips…or blueberries…or whipped cream… 😉

Prepare to be craving pancakes for the rest of this post, because today I’m going to be participating in Becky’s Pancake Book Tag! Being the amazing human that she is, she combined pancakes and books all into one post, and I couldn’t love it more.

Blog Title - Design #1 (20)

This tag is incredibly creative- I love all the prompts, the beautiful graphics, and of course I can’t wait to talk about some wonderful books all the while wishing I was eating pancakes right now.

Without further ado, let’s get into the post!

Oy With The Reading Already Tag // Gilmore Girls + A Whole Lot of Books!!

Just like reading, Gilmore Girls is a lifestyle.

It was the first show I ever binged watched, the first time I really connected with a character on TV, and, well, I couldn’t be more excited for this tag!

Blog Title - Design #1 (15)

It was created by my wonderful friend Rhi (you should go give her some love 😉 ) and I absolutely love everything about it. I mean, one of my favorite shows? And books? In the same post? (If you haven’t watched Gilmore Girls, don’t worry, there won’t be any spoilers in this post, though I hope I can convince you to watch it! It’s about a bookish girl (!!) and her mom and their life in a little small town.)

Prepare yourselves for a post full of me fangirling about books and Gilmore Girls, as well as a lot of gifs (because when do I not use gifs) and references. Yes, I smell a lot of references. That was a reference.

Okay, without further ado, into the post!
